About AME
AME Community Services,
Inc. has been serving people with developmental disabilities
since 1992. Our agency provides services in neighborhood
homes as well as in-home family support
services. Each home has a maximum of four residents.
When establishing a home, we attempt to match the residents
according to their abilities, interests, and personalities.
Each home is structured
according to the needs of the people living in it. Dignity
and respect are given to the needs, values, and
characteristics of these individuals and their families.
AME Community Services,
Inc. has experience in serving people with a variety of
diagnoses, among them, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Fragile X
Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Our staff is trained to
deal with challenging behaviors, meet medical needs, and
foster a friendly and supportive living environment.
Our services are initiated
through referrals from County Case Management and funded by
the Home and Community Based Waiver Program.
